5.- The Turing Machine
CRAZY GAME: You will receive a part of an article about the Turing Machine. Not all the students will get the same pages of it. You have to read your part and find other student/s that have the parts of the article missing to you. Different pages might interlace.
Once you found someone to complete the whole article, you have to read it and understand it together.
There are different number of copies of the different pages of the article, so in every group will be about 4 or 5 students.
Finaly, the next class a random group will explain it to the classroom. The Teacher will provide the presentation to do it.
Other groups will have to ask questions about it.
A Turing machine is an abstract machine that manipulates symbols on a strip of tape according to a table of rules; to be more exact, it is a mathematical model of computation that defines such a device. Despite the model's simplicity, given any computer algorithm, a Turing machine can be constructed that is capable of simulating that algorithm's logic.
